KNOCK OUT THE GLASS AND RACE

. Any stock V-6 engine car or truck, except for turbo-chargers or super-chargers.
. CHOOSE YOUR CAR WISELY.
. KEEP IT STOCK. DON'T CUT. DON'T BEND. DON'T DO ANYTHING NOT OUTLINED IN THESE RULES.
. All parts must me stock (O.E.M.) to your car's make and model, including carburetor/fuel injection systems, engine, transmission, suspension... everything.
. Aluminum or steel O.E.M. wheels.  No racing rims.  All four corners must be same size and offset.
. 5° max right front camber, with all other wheels + or – one degree of camber.
. Tires, same size on all four corners with a durometer of 60 or harder and a treadwear of 400 or more.
. All flammable interior must be removed, except the dash and front seat.  A full dash is required with VIN plate in place.  Racing seat is recommended, but you may use the stock seat.
. No other interior or exterior body modifications allowed, other than to install roll cage and fuel cell.

ALL GENERAL RULES ALSO APPLY, INCLUDING THE REQUIRED NUMBERING AND TRANSPONDER INSTALLATION PROCEDURES.  ALL SAFETY RULES ARE MANDATORY, EXCEPT FOR ROLL CAGE AND RACING SEAT/BELTS.



2012 ONA SPEEDWAY SAFETY RULES

1. ROLL CAGES FOR UCARS/6 CYLS must be made from round steel at least 1.75 inches O.D. x .095 inch thickness, seamless tubing. Galvanized pipe prohibited. Cars must be constructed with a 4-point roll cage consistent with the diagram in the current NASCAR Racing Rulebook. Front roll cage uprights will be no more than six inches from the front windshield post measured at the base of the post to the roll bar cages. Must go from four points on the frame straight up to the roof following the contour of the windshield post in front, and follow the roof-line to connect. Again, no offset cages left to right or front to rear. Bars must remain inside firewall.

2. DRIVER SEATS: must be welded or bolted to the frame and must be located a minimum of eight inches from the inside of the closest drivers door bar. Aluminum seats only. Rib rest and right side headrest shall remain flexible and shall not be reinforced.

3. Four-point RACING BELTS must have quick release and must meet S.F.I. specifications. No surplus belts. Must be mounted on roll cage approved by Tech Officials. Seat belts can be no older then five years.

4. WINDOW NETS must be full-size ribbon or mesh type. Window nets must be up at all times while on the racetrack. The NASCAR type seat belt buckle method of mounting be used.

5. Drivers must be protected at all times with a proper crash HELMET meeting all Snell 95 or newer specifications (with sticker visible and unaltered) and a flame-resistant DRIVING SUIT, top and bottom, meeting SFI specifications. Flame resistant under garments and socks are highly recommended. Flame-resistant GLOVES and SHOES are mandatory.

6. Two hood pins in front part of hood AND two at the rear of the trunk are required.

7 Remove all glass.  Lexan windshield is recommended, or at least three bars over driver's side.

8. Fuel cells and detachable steering wheels recommended for safety.

8. Battery can remain under the hood or it can be installed behind the driver's seat in a container.

10. Doors must be welded shut or bolted.
